How To Remove Dark Circles Under Eyes at Home

How To Remove Dark Circles Under Eyes at Home Dark circles under the lower eyelids are common in both men and women. Dark circles are often accompanied by puffiness and make you look older than you are. To make matters worse, they can be difficult to remove. Don’t just hate it when everything about your look comes to the point, and the only deal breaker is dark circles and some pretty stubborn circles under your eyes.

Don’t worry, most of us have been there at some point in our lives. Let me tell you a secret, even some of the most impressive women often have to resort to concealer and makeup to hide their dark circles. These dark circles not only make you look much older than you are, but they also make you look sick or unhealthy.

Causes

Sleeping too long, being extremely tired, or a few hours after you go to bed can cause dark circles under your eyes. Lack of sleep can make your skin look dull and pale, revealing dark tissues and blood vessels under your skin. Lack of sleep can also cause moisture to build up under your eyes, making them look puffy. As a result, the dark circles you see could be shadows cast by your puffy eyelids.

Natural aging is another common cause of these dark circles under your eyes. As you age, your skin becomes thinner. You also lose the fat and collagen that are necessary to keep your skin elastic. When this happens, the dark blood vessels under your skin become more visible and darken the area under your eyes.

Home Remedies for Dark Circles Under Eyes At Home

1. Massage

Mix coconut oil and almond oil and gently massage around the eyes in circular motions. Leave on for about an hour. It should be done daily.

You can also make the following eye mask that will lighten dark circles with regular use. My suggestion is that you make the mask and keep it in the fridge. It easily lasts up to 1 week without spoiling.

2. Tomato Eye Toner

Tomatoes are an excellent exfoliant. It’s a hit when it comes to beauty regimens. Mix lemon juice and fresh tomato juice and use it every day to massage the eye area. Leave the toner on for about 20 minutes and wash it off with coconut water.

3. Grated Potato

Raw grated potatoes or even cold raw potato slices have been shown to have a soothing effect on the skin. I have often used these ingredients to lighten dark circles with positive results. Try it yourself and see how it works for you.

4. Herbal Tea

Most of us have flavored it and realized the vagaries of too much sugar in tea and coffee. We’ve switched to healthier substitutes such as herbal teas and non-sugary drinks. If you also have drunk herbal tea, never throw the tea bags in the trash; keep them in the fridge. Use this on the eyes, especially after an eye massage. Chamomile tea bags are great for this and have been proven to lighten the eye area dramatically!

5. Rosewater

Rosewater not only smells fantastic, but it can also soothe and rejuvenate tired skin. Like cucumber, it is a mild astringent so that it can act as a skin toner. Soak the cotton makeup remover in rose water for a few minutes and leave the soaked makeup pads on your CLOSED eyelids. Leave them on for about 15 minutes twice a day.
